Grammar of Adjectives

Adjectives are words that describe or modify nouns or pronouns by providing more information about their qualities, characteristics, or attributes. They help add detail and specificity to sentences.

Types of Adjectives:

  1. Descriptive Adjectives: These adjectives describe the qualities or characteristics of a noun.

    • Example: The blue sky, a tall tree, an old book.
  2. Comparative Adjectives: These adjectives are used to compare two or more things.

    • Example: She is taller than her brother.
  3. Superlative Adjectives: These adjectives are used to compare three or more things and show which one has the highest degree of the quality described.

    • Example: Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world.

Examples of Adjectives:

  1. Descriptive Adjectives:

    • The beautiful flowers bloomed in the garden.
    • He lives in a large house.
    • She wore a red dress to the party.
  2. Comparative Adjectives:

    • This book is more interesting than the last one.
    • She is less busy today than yesterday.

  3. Superlative Adjectives:
